- had their intellectual contents selected for retention
- been reviewed and is NOT material that should be transfered to Special Collections
Several workflows listed at the bottom fall into different categories.

AthruG5.pdf (where do the A, B, C, etc. come from??)
Workflow A has the following characteristics:
- Title is in copyright
- No resonable physical replacement available
- Permission to scan is granted
Workflow A is not yet documented (basically it is send to DLC and scan!!)
Workflow B has the following characteristics:
- Title is out of copyright
- No digital replacement available
Workflow B is not yet documented (basically it is send to DLC and scan!!)
Workflow C has the following characteristics:
- Title in copyright
- No reasonable replacement available
- No permission granted
- Money is available (meaning there is an FTE Brittle Book coordinator [BBC] in Preservation and printing/binding costs are covered)
workflowC1.pdf is the first draft of Workflow C (posted 1/03/08)
Workflow D has the following characteristics:
- Title in copyright
- No reasonable replacement available
- No permission granted
- Money is not available (meaning there is only limited OPS in Preservation and printing/binding costs are not covered)
NOTE: This workflow is basically creating a new backlog/not fixing the old one.
workflowD1.pdf is the first draft of Workflow D (posted 1/03/08)
Workflow E has the following characteristics:
- Title is in copyright
- A 'trusted' digital copy is located
- Copyright permission is granted
Workflow E is not yet documented (briefly, upon discovery of 'trusted' digital copy, and granting of copyright permission, a URL is added to Aleph)
Workflow F has the following characteristics:
- Title is out of copyright
- A 'trusted' digital copy is located
- Selector prefers a digital replacement first

Workflow G = 'trusted' digital replacement investigation
Workflow G is not yet documented (briefly, Preservation OPS searches selected trustworthy University Library OPACS for digitized copy. Uses predetermined replacement criteria to determine is content found is 'acceptable' replacement.)
